Secure local infrastructure, delivered by trusted experts

Some workloads shouldn't live in a distant hyperscale region — they need to be local, sovereign and under your control. Through our partnership with nLighten, we put your infrastructure in secure, carrier-neutral data centres in Bristol or Swindon, and wrap it in the managed IT, security and cloud expertise to run it properly. One accountable partner. Infrastructure you can drive to in half an hour.

Who is nLighten — and why we chose them

About nLighten

nLighten runs a network of carrier-neutral edge data centres across the UK and Europe. 10 sites in the UK, and 35 across the continent, all backed by global infrastructure investor I Squared Capital.

Their model is deliberately local: secure, well-connected facilities close to the businesses that use them, rather than a single distant mega-site.

Why we partner with nLighten

Our whole approach is putting each workload in the right home - public cloud where it fits, and accredited, UK-based infrastructure where it must be.

nLighten gives us that second half within a half-hour drive of most of our clients: sovereign, locally controlled space we can build in, secure and manage on your behalf.

As a member of their nAlliance partner programme, we work with nLighten as a formal, joined-up team rather than an ad-hoc arrangement. It means the design, the facility and the ongoing management all pull in the same direction.

It's the difference between telling you your data stays in the UK and being able to show you the building.

Two data centres on your doorstep

Most colocation conversations end with your kit hundreds of miles away in Slough or London. Ours don't.

nLighten's two nearest facilities are close enough to visit before lunch — which matters when it's your infrastructure and your compliance on the line.

Bristol

On the Aztec West Business Park, right by Junction 16 of the M5 and 35 minutes from Bristol Airport. 2,040 m² of secure colocation space and 3,150 kW of power, with everything from a quarter rack to a private room, and the capacity to house high-density cabinets for power-hungry AI workloads.

The building was purpose-built as a data centre in the 1990s to the standards of a major financial institution, and most recently ran Capgemini's infrastructure — who remain on site today.

Swindon

In the north of Swindon near the A420 and M4, 20 minutes from the station. 1,580 m² of space and 5,700 kW of power, again from quarter racks to full rooms. It sits on the M4 corridor close to the Panattoni Drone Park, the Harwell research campus (home of the space, biotech and deep-science cluster) and the Science and InnovationCentre in Wroughton making it a natural home for research and compute-heavy workloads, as well as for Bristol and Bath businesses that want capacity nearby but out of the city.

What we solve together

The partnership exists for specific, real situations. If one of these sounds like you, we can help.

Cloud repatriation & reverse-hybrid

Public cloud bills climbing, or workloads that never really belonged there? We move the right ones back to secure local infrastructure — and keep the rest in the cloud where they earn their place. You get a genuine hybrid, designed around cost and control rather than dogma.

AI & high-density compute

AI and GPU workloads need far more power and cooling per cabinet than a normal oNice setup can give them. nLighten's facilities are built for high-density compute-ready deployments — and we design, secure and run the environment around them, locally, so sensitive data and models never have to leave the country.

Colocation & leaving the server room

Ageing kit humming away in a cupboard, an oNice move on the horizon, or a server room you no longer want to babysit? We migrate you into secure racks in Bristol or Swindon and manage it all — so you get data-centre-grade power, cooling and resilience without building it yourself.

Disaster recovery & resilience

A second site you can fail over to, geographically separate but still local and under UK control. We design the DR environment, replicate to it, and prove it works — so resilience stops being a spreadsheet promise and becomes something tested.

One partner, accountable for all of it

You deal with Innovecom. That doesn't change.

We stay your single point of contact and your trusted advisor. nLighten provides the accredited, carrier-neutral facility. We handle the design, the migration, the security and the day-to-day management on top of it. So instead of juggling a data-centre contract and an IT provider and working out whose problem it is when something breaks, you have one relationship and one partner who owns the outcome.

Three ways to start

Secure Local Hosting

For moving oN ageing on-premises kit. nLighten hosting in Bristol or Swindon, the right rack capacity, connectivity, and our migration and managed-infrastructure support wrapped around it.

Resilient Business Infrastructure

For when resilience is the priority. Primary hosting, a separate backup environment, tested disaster recovery, and ongoing managed support.

AI & High-Performance Infrastructure

For compute-heavy and AI workload

Proof, not promises

Cyber Essentials Plus certified. Genuinely multi-cloud across Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Cloud. Twenty years inside aerospace, defence and critical national infrastructure — the sectors where "where exactly is our data?" is a question with consequences.

Talk to us about local, secure infrastructure

Whether you know exactly what you need or you're just weighing up the options, a short conversation will tell you whether this is the right fit. No pitch — if it isn't for you, we'll say so.
